The Aboriginal History division (AHWA) of the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries has completed their research on Wadjemup (Rottnest Island). The research is focused on the personal details and history of the 390 Aboriginal people incarcerated on the island from 1900 to 1931. The AHWA is now calling for family and community members who are related to someone imprisoned at Wadjemup to participate in the next phase of research.
