The WA State Government has proposed a new heritage bill to update the existing legislation. This has been received and reviewed by native title service providers. NTSG, along with SWALSC, YMAC, and the NNTC, do not agree with the proposed changes. The proposed amendments will not prevent damage and destruction to Aboriginal heritage sites, and does not adequately protect Aboriginal land, rights, and interests.
