DPLH Discussion Forums for Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act

The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage are inviting community members to forums to discuss the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2021 (formerly the Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972).

Given the impacts of Covid-19, they will be holding smaller group sessions.

All participants must confirm their Covid-19 vaccinations to enter the event. There will be the option to participate via video link for unvaccinated people, and those unable to travel.

Live Stream

The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (DPLH) is holding a live stream consultation session to provide an overview of the amendments proposed, and an opportunity to provide feedback and inform the drafting of the amendments. COVID-19 Requirements

The following measures have been put in place to protect against COVID-19:

  • Face mask must be worn at all times (unless exempt) in line with existing State Government COVID-19 restrictions. Spare masks will be available on the day.
  • All DPLH staff members are triple vaccinated.
  • Hand sanitiser will be set up at entry and exit points and throughout the venue.
  • Guests are requested not to attend if they are unwell. A virtual attendance option will be offered in the form of a live stream from Perth to further encourage guests to stay home if they are unwell.
  • Catering will not be available, however, tea and coffee will be offered where possible.
